Serving Frankfort and Franklin County
Custom wood and composite decks designed for your Frankfort yard and built to last.
Frankfort, Kentucky
On older Frankfort homes, we often replace a worn or undersized deck and correct how it attaches to the house.
A good deck is sized for how you will use it, connected properly to the house and built on footings that will not move. We design and build decks for Frankfort homes in pressure-treated wood and composite, with stairs, railings and lighting to suit.
Many newer Frankfort homes came with a small builder deck or just a door and steps. A properly sized deck makes the backyard usable.

Franklin County
Blue Oak Construction is the residential division of DB General Contracting. A project manager stays on your job from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.
Frankfort, the state capital, is northwest of Lexington on I-64. Its neighborhoods follow the Kentucky River and the hills around it, which means many sloped lots and a mix of historic and mid-century homes.
Common questions
Yes. Blue Oak Construction serves Frankfort and the rest of Franklin County from our office at 851 Corporate Dr in Lexington.
Wood costs less up front and needs regular sealing. Composite costs more and needs little maintenance. We price both.
Sometimes. If the framing is sound we can re-deck it. We inspect the structure first.
Requirements depend on the size, height and location of the deck. We plan each project around the local rules.
