Serving Frankfort and Franklin County
Cabinetry, countertops, lighting and layout changes for Frankfort kitchens, planned and built by Blue Oak Construction.
Frankfort, Kentucky
The kitchen takes more daily use than any room in the house, and it shows its age first. We remodel kitchens in Frankfort from simple refreshes of counters, backsplash and lighting to full redesigns that move walls, add an island and rework how the room connects to the rest of the home.
In older Frankfort homes, kitchens tend to be closed off and short on storage. Opening a wall and adding cabinetry planned for the space usually changes the whole first floor.
In newer Frankfort neighborhoods, the layout is often fine and the finishes are the weak point. Replacing builder-grade cabinets, counters and lighting makes the kitchen feel custom.
What’s included

Backsplashes and floors that tie the room together.
Franklin County
Frankfort, the state capital, is northwest of Lexington on I-64. Its neighborhoods follow the Kentucky River and the hills around it, which means many sloped lots and a mix of historic and mid-century homes.
Blue Oak Construction is the residential division of DB General Contracting. A project manager stays on your job from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.
Common questions
It depends on scope. Refreshing surfaces is quicker than relocating walls, plumbing or electrical, and cabinets and counters have their own lead times. We give you a schedule during planning.
Usually. We check whether the wall is load-bearing and what runs through it, then explain what opening it involves.
Most homeowners stay. We talk through how to set up a temporary kitchen space while the work is underway.
Yes. Blue Oak Construction serves Frankfort and the rest of Franklin County from our office at 851 Corporate Dr in Lexington.
